About Us

     We are George & Nancy Finlayson, the "Meandering Moose.”  Naming our blog “Meandering Moose” seemed appropriate as we have been calling each other “moose” since we started dating when Nancy was 15 and I was 16 years old.  Nancy is a retired Art Teacher and I retired from my position as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Connecticut. Upon retirement we moved to Florida and and purchased a 34’ Holiday Rambler Vacationer motor home.  On April 23, 2014 we hit-the-road and started our journey living full-time in our motor home.  Our goal is to travel the USA and Canada to explore all the natural wonders of these great countries, as well as, to discover interesting and unusual places or experiences along the way.  Nancy’s passion is her art and our motor home houses a complete art studio for her jewelry creations.  Her inspiration is creating jewelry from objects found along our travels, often combining the objects with silver, brass and copper. My passions are hiking and mountain biking and I am always in search of the best and most adventurous trails.  We hope to continue traveling for several years before settling into our Titusville, Florida home.
